STREET NET YOUTH OUTREACH SERVICE - PEEL REGION
Street Net is a Youth Outreach Service based in Mandurah at the Billy Dower Youth Centre. The service aims to support young people, aged 8 to 24 years inclusive, through any issues they may be experiencing. Street Net do this by offering one on one short term counselling and support, outreach, advocacy and if need be, referral to longer term support agencies.
Street Net staff work day and afternoon shifts, allowing them to be available when most needed. Street Net has a strong working relationship with the Department for Education, Department for Child Protection, City of Mandurah and numerous local agencies and community members.
Street Net staff also deliver numerous educational programs to schools and the wider community and respond to any issues schools may be experiencing with students. Street Net are also involved with many other committees and groups inlcuding: Peel Youth Program Inc, Blue Light Dance Events, Bilyidar Alternative Education Program and Local Drug Action Group where drug and alcohol conferences are presented to Year Seven students from schools throughout the Peel region.
